Halloween~Trick or Treat & Look who's crawling now!

Dressed and ready to go! Jackson couldn't wait to go trick or treating! I told him he couldn't go till it was dark, so he kept on looking outside to see if he could see the moon. He wasn't excited or anything! ;-) Spiderman Jackson shooting his web at you! As you can see from her face, Gracie doesn't know what to think of him...
and here he is displaying his web...
Gracie doing what she does best...looking adorable!
The kids before they were off to the races...
Jackson couln't get to the next house fast enough!
The dad's...Jason and Kent
the sky was so beautiful! Every once in a while you would see the huge bats that live here fly across the sky. That really made you feel like it was Halloween!
Taking a break from getting candy for a family shot.
ADORABLE angel Sophia looking pretty for the camera.
Soph and Jackson taking a break to get some lovin'.
And here she is...starting to crawl!! Yikes! I can't believe it...it seems like just the other day she was learning how to sit up by herself. Time to baby proof...again...

6th Annual Scherden Pumpkin Carving Contest

The pumpkins are ready to be carved...just waiting for Daddy to get home from work. I thought Jackson would really like to pick out the seeds, but I learned that he DID not like it...he said it was "yucky..."
Jason finally talked him into taking a picture with his hand in the "yucky" stuff. As you can see he loved every minute of it! ;-)
Although, he did LOVE to poke holes in all the pumpkins with the tools.
Making a mess of the upper patio...I'm almost finished!
And here they are from left to right...
Jackson's, Gracie's, Jason's and Emily's
The Japanese love to see the pumpkins outside. Most of them don't really know what to think since they don't have them. It's always fun to see their reactions!

It is a great tradition and I look forward to it every Halloween. It will be fun when the kids can actually carve their own!!

Kids will be kids...

Jackson has recently "rediscovered" his trains...and loves them! We have played with them daily for the past week. Gracie scooted off her blanket to get her ball. She has become quite the inch worm this past week. It's hard to keep her on her play mat anymore! Crawling here we come!
Gracie loves the pumpkins and decided to try to pull up on them. Jackson just jumped in for the pose...he's so cheesy. ;-)
Jackson had become quite the tag fanatic lately. He hates to have the tags against his skin. Jason says he is the poster child for Hanes tagless clothes...So he asked me to tuck his shirt into his underwear so the tag wouldn't bug him. I just thought it was cute and had to take a pic of him! (Check out the baseball shirt and Thomas the train underwear!)

Halloween Party...and some other updates...

Here is Spiderman and Grace with her Halloween outfit on. She has two this one and a ghost, but I figured she could wear the ghost when we go trick or treating next week. Jackson LOVES Spiderman...and loves to shoot his "webs"at me. I just love boys and their superheros!

On our way to the Halloween get together.
Jackson and his best friend Molly the princess. They are two peas in a pod! We tried to get a group picture, but not all the kids would cooperate. It was fun to see the kids in their outfits! Our baby Grace sleeping in Daddy's arms before church. I just had to get a shot of her...SO cute!
Miss Grace is strong and would love to walk if she could. She does a great job holding on to things when standing. I'm not ready for her to start cruising just yet...she's just barely 6 months old!!!
Here is she in the "crawling" stance. If she could only just sit there and play instead of trying to move around and scoot everywhere!
My sweet little angel babies!

Our Wendy's adventure...Japanese style!!

Grace all dolled up and ready to go! With the kids in the stroller, we are off for another adventure...
The Wendy's sign at the Koza Music Center.

Our burgers...Yum!
These sweet Japanese ladies couldn't get enough of Grace.
And to top off the burgers, we had to get some Baskin Robbins.
Grace is definitely her father's daughter...she LOVES water! Whenever we are drinking it she grabs the cup as fast as she can to get a sip.

My yummy birthday dinner at Yoshi's!

Yoshihachi...our favorite sushi bar!Jason and Jackson...like father like son. Me modeling my new birthday necklace...what a sweet husband!

Yoshi roll...filled with tuna, yellow tail, avocado and crab. Yummy!!!
Had to get a picture of Grace enjoying Yoshi's. As you can tell she wasn't too impressed!
As always Jackson loves to give big smiles to the camera. (In the very back is the Yoshi man himself.)
Jason and his shrimp tempura roll...or is that the love roll?? Either way, it was amazing!
Little Miss Gracie at the end of the night...she was ready to get home and in her bed...as usual. She does not enjoy being out in the evening hours. She is what you would call a "homebody." ;-)
